Client Overview

A prominent pharmaceutical R&D laboratory in Delhi NCR approached iProcX to design and install a comprehensive ultra water purification system for their new research facility.

The lab required Type I and Type II purified water to support high-precision analytical instruments and molecular biology workflows.

Project Objective

To develop a continuous, high-purity water supply system meeting the stringent demands of:

  • HPLC, LC-MS, ICP-MS, and spectrophotometry

  • Cell culture, molecular biology, and pharmaceutical quality control

  • ISO 17025, GLP, and GMP compliance

  • Sustainable water use with minimal waste and maintenance

Our Approach

1. Requirement Analysis & Design

  • Conducted a detailed water quality assessment (feed TDS, hardness, bacterial load).

  • Designed a multi-stage purification line including:

    • Pre-filtration (sediment & activated carbon)

    • Reverse Osmosis (RO) system

    • Deionization (DI) and UV sterilization

    • Ultrafiltration & final polishing for Type I water production

  • Integrated a dual-line output to supply both Type I and Type II points of use.

2. Equipment Selection

Deployed Haier Biomedical Ultra Water Purification System, featuring:

  • Automatic water quality monitoring (resistivity & TOC display)

  • Touch-screen control with data logging and user authentication

  • Real-time flow and tank level indicators

  • Smart cartridge recognition for easy maintenance

3. Automation & Smart Monitoring

  • Connected the purification system to the iProcX Smart Lab Monitoring Platform (iTMS).

  • Enabled remote status alerts, usage reports, and preventive maintenance scheduling.

  • Integrated water quality data logging for regulatory traceability.

4. Installation & Validation

  • Completed turnkey installation including feed line, storage tank, and distribution manifold.

  • Performed IQ/OQ/PQ validation for GLP/GMP documentation.

  • Trained laboratory staff for daily operation and maintenance.

Key Outcomes

✅ Continuous supply of ultra-pure Type I (18.2 MΩ·cm) and Type II water across the facility

Reduced consumable cost and 40% lower water wastage with smart recirculation design

Automated data recording for audit compliance

✅ Enhanced instrument performance and experimental accuracy

✅ Delivered full project within 6 weeks, on budget and on spec

Technologies & Products Used

  • Haier Biomedical Ultra Water Purification System

  • Pre-filtration & Reverse Osmosis Units

  • Deionization and UV Sterilization Modules

  • iProcX Smart Monitoring & Alert System (iTMS)

  • Type I / Type II Storage and Distribution Network

Conclusion

This project showcases iProcX’s capability to deliver turnkey laboratory water purification systems integrating Haier Biomedical automation and smart monitoring technology.

The installation ensures reliable, high-purity water for critical scientific applications, enabling researchers in Delhi NCR and North India to maintain consistent analytical precision and regulatory compliance.
